Better him than Meyer going to . Right now Memphis and Western Kentucky are looking. Honestly I hope he concentrates on the rest of the season and then Look for Head Coach jobs.

I'd rather it be him than Urban Meyer; besides, Meyer said that he wasn't going there this past summer. If ND cans Cheeseburger Charlie, they should go after Brian Kelly from Cinci or Jon Gruden, since he has ties to that school.

Steve Kragthorpe (Louisville) and the Zooker (Illinois) are on the coaches' hot seat right now; there could be possibilities for Strong at either of those schools should one or both of them get fired.

I hate it when this starts every year! I love Coach Strong!!! He's a great man, an amazing Coach and so good for our team!!!! Such a great assistant to Coach Meyer, and such a stabilizer to our team!

(I've even to got to meet him a couple times when bringing my son to Gator football camp, and he was SO nice and easy to talk to)

I know he'd be awesome wherever he coached, he deserves to have 'his own' team... but he needs to stay a GATOR!!!!

You have to think that ND will throw a bank load of cash at Meyer to make him really think about it.
A close second or even 1a on NDs list will be/should be Brian Kelly.

Charlie Strong also has ties to ND, he was an assistant there. I think the team that needs D will hire him. Also I won't be surprised if South Florida considers him if they fired Leavitt.

Okay, here is my list of teams I don't want Charlie Strong to leave us for:
- South Florida - He could rob Florida of defensive talent. Bull fans are probably the #3 Gator haters I have personally encountered behind Hurricane and Seminole fans.
- Any team in Pac-10 - In the 90s and early 00s I got tired of hearing about the Pac-10, just as people are tired of hearing about the SEC now.
- Any team in Big 12 - All these teams are missing in order to compete with SEC in future NCs is defense.

That being said, I guess I wouldn't mind if Coach Strong left us for Notre Dame or even another SEC team.

With Meyer, I don't see money being the primary motivating factor. One of the biggest reasons he chose Florida was due to easier recruiting and less stringent academic standards that ND isn't willing to compromise on.

I believe Urban Meyer when he said "I'm not going to Notre Dame - EVER." Also, Shelley Meyer is adamant about having established her family in Gainesville and staying put instead of uprooting every few years or so.

I wouldn't mind if Charlie Strong were to go there.

I think Strong would look good on Virginia's sidelines next year. You know Groh is gonna be gone. Louisville might be another possibility.

If things go according to Hoyle, "Illinoise" will lose to Cincy and possibly Northwestern. If they wind up not being bowl-eligible again this season, which is likely, they'd be foolish to keep the Zooker around. If they do fire the Zooker, that could also be a possibility.
