Coach exposes the truth of this team

Idk who has watched Coach's postgame press conference, but the thing most of us realized (except for the idiots like we had on here last night) he said. Coach explained "its very difficult to run a power running game with what we got and who we have", HINT HINT Demps and Rainey the little guys. Gillislee was hurt, idk why we cant throw Mack in, but like we have all been saying Demps and Rainey can't run between the tackles consistently. He also was asked how close is this team to being something, and he responded "this year"? "Were not even close", then the reporter went on to ask do you think it will be a long process and Coach replied "no", which meant let me recruit my type of players in here and ill show you. Look im not trying to bash Demps and Rainey, I love both these guys and what they have did for our program for four years, but they can't stay healthy and are not every down backs. We got the two rb's coming in that may see playing time very early in their gator career. I know its tough guys and its hard to watch this, but I think on the inside our Leader , our Coach has a smirk on the inside thinking just wait until I get my guys in here, and im going to show all you doubters out there why I was chosen to lead this team back to the promise land, and make our program one of the toughest and most hardest working programs in the country. It's not just the running backs coach is gonna fix, he will fix the whole team that doesn't fit his style and his vision. Its great to be a Gator, we will be back next year and will look so much better. It's coming we just got to give it a little time.

Well put, man. I was relieved (or as close to that as could be managed in the dark frustration of the game's aftermath) to hear Coach's post game comments--for their outright honesty AND their actual content...and I read it pretty well EXACTLY as you did, aweb.
There are some details to be addressed and discussed among our own here at GE, AND arguments to be mounted against the early "Fire the BUM!" attacks from angry, knee-jerk late-comer "fans" (like that dufus who showed up here and just wouldn't let GO on Saturday--as I feared, though, he was just a harbinger of a chorus of like-minded fools out there who are popping up now on the more public Gator-sites in the game's aftermath...as I say, we need to counter these to some extent, I feel--not get bogged down arguing with 'em at length, but simply make sure that the rest see and hear that there are plenty of us that dismiss such stupidity out-of-hand--and in simple terms WHY we do).

After some thoughtful consideration, I have decided to get behind this staff and see what happens. I got to thinking that IMO, Foley is a pretty good AD ( in spite of Adazio )and, God knows, he certainly knows more about it than I could ever hope to know. So, the smart thing to do is trust him to have picked the right guy for the job. I've been a Gator for so long....I've seen plenty of lean times. What's another year or two? After that, I'll still be a Gator and if we're competing, I will be the first to say I was wrong about Muschamp. If not, perhaps the "dufus" shoe will fit elsewhere.
