"Buffalo Bills rookie receiver David Nelson caught only 46 passes in his career at the University of Florida. He uses some other numbers, however, to measure his college experience.
"A lot of people look at my numbers and say you didn't have that productive of a career," Nelson said. "I look at it the opposite. We won two national championships, two SEC championships. We won three BCS bowl games and won four bowl games overall while I was there. I was a 17-18 game starter for a two-time national champion, the No. 1 team in the nation. You can't ask for more than that."
The Bills think Nelson's size and speed numbers give him a chance to someday develop into a productive NFL receiver. He is 6-foot-5 and 217 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds, pretty good for a man that big. (By comparison, Bills former second-round pick James Hardy, 6-5 and 220, ran 4.45 coming out of college.)"
