Hopefully we won't have to put up with Muschamp too long.
Could NOT disagree more:
Coach Boom and Co. are the HOPE of the whole program--they just have a WHOLE lot of work to do. They are DOING it, too, behind the scenes--that's what all the "transfers" are about, really...but this isn't the time or place to discuss all of that.
This growing debacle, a parade of bad moves, poor efforts, stupid mistakes and penalties on the way to giving this game away which we have made every effort to do since the 1st qrtr, is trying for all of us. It gets difficult NOT to start lashing out at SOMEONE. Try to focus on what the problems are and who is really at fault, though. The one thing that this team has in common with last year's besides the overall losers' style-of-play, is all the LOSERS we have on our roster. This Head Coach is not responsible for that. You want to blame a coach? Look no further than that guy droning on over at ESPN now and HIS staff for who is responsible for all these "5-Star Clowns" and all the "little fast guys who can't get the job done", who once again are giving us hangovers, indigestion and LOSSES.

This staff wants Florida to be a "3 yards and a cloud of dust and then play D". The Gators have never been that kind of team and hopefully never will be.
Now we can't even get the ball snapped without a penalty. If that isn't on the coaches......

Something else, too: THIS game, and this SEASON are pretty well shot no matter what, but Foley knew what he was doing when he brought in Muschamp, and it is about to pay off BIG TIME with this coming recruiting class. It will be his FIRST, really, and not a SECOND too soon: we've been mostly just getting RID of BAD ones up 'til now. This will be the real start of our "road back"; we were all hoping it would at least begin this season, but that turned out to be unrealistic with all the useless baggage we were carrying.
My one concern is at QB--I think we may need to go out and find another candidate or two. Look at how much better we are with a slightly-gimpy but "SERVICEABLE" one (and that's all JB is, let's face it--he just LOOKS great compared to what we've looked at without him--and that's when he's still not 100%!).
We'll be back. It will be CLEAR next season--and a full-on reality the year after that.

Now I KNOW you are not seeing things clearly. "3 yds and a cloud of dust"??? What games have you been watching?
Yes, they aim to get bigger at RB--we NEED to, in fact we need to get BIGGER EVERYWHERE!!!
If anything, Weis (and it is Weis' offensive game plan each week, make no mistake) has perhaps been too enamored of all the speed he's been blessed/cursed with this time around: he figured he was "stuck" with what he had, and I think maybe he overlooks other options he has on the sidelines because of it (Gillisley, obviously, but there are oithers, too).

Yeah, Driskell is definitely the more promising of the two: he CAN run the offense (Brisset just has no conception of tempo, continuity, no ongoing "feel" for the game).
(Defense is more or less "doing its job" in this one, as good as can be expected, anyway; You DO realize that it will probably take 2 touchdowns by us, somehow some way the rest of the way, to win this--something that just doesn't feel imminent.)

Our man Will is the head guy. That makes it HIS responsibility. He hasn't gotten the job done. End of story.
You know what, man? Enough is enough. We happen to LIKE Coach Boom over here; this loss is tough enough without some rube coming around to vent his narrow one opinion while we try to deal with problems that run a whole lot deeper than "Fire the bum!". Now, I suggest you study up on football in general, and the actual structure and various responsibilities of the different coaches on this team. I just don't have time now to explain all of that to ANYONE, least of all someone who came in here with his axe to grind and is neither listening to anyone else nor understanding what the actual problems are in the first place.
