Well if someone had told me we would be 6-1 right now I would have laughed. This loss sucks but our d played bad and with no grier, I think we did really good. Hopefully lsu runs the table and we get them in Atlanta.
Well at least they scored 28 points (21 of those on offense). I didn't watch the game, I was working. I wished the D didn't allow 28 points IN THE SECOND QUARTER. That was embarrassing really guys? Didn't think LSU was that good on offense even with Fournette. Not counting the last touchdown, really hating on Miles faking those FGs. I want a linebacker to slam him into the Ground next time he does that. They get a bye week before they face off against those dogs.

From what I gather, ALL of us here were at least thinking bout the possible fake...and I know I wasn't the only one yelling at the screen, "Look out for the FAKE!!!" If our coach missed it, as appears, it's 'cause he just got here (SEC) from out west, basically--hadn't seen Les do this before, done it to US! Well, now he knows; WON'T happen twice. In fact, we get another crack at 'em in Atlanta (oh great God of the Gridiron, give us that chance), some version of "payback in kind" would be in order. 'Course, come the day, Mac'll say getting there and winning it should, will be enough. But if the opportunity should present itself...Miles just did what Miles does. I was shocked that we didn't go FG Safe at that point.
EXACTLY what I've been thinking and talking about, here and elsewhere.Well if someone had told me we would be 6-1 right now I would have laughed. This loss sucks but our d played bad and with no grier, I think we did really good. Hopefully lsu runs the table and we get them in Atlanta.
Yep. Couldn't, never DO practice against/prepare for some new, illegal style and formations using it. And Fournette's getting every benefit AND benefit-of-the-doubt--and he doesn't NEED it: He's already really good without all that! The defense did suck. The silly Twitter wars on who was DBU really riled up the LSU DBs, and the Tigers showed the Gators who really was DBU. Blame Muschamp--he recruited a ton of DBs, but no LBs or DLs. The DBs are simply too small to stop a power running game.
On the flip side, I can think of a few plays that showed this was absolutely a winnable game:
- Fournette's fumble -- The refs clearly blew this call. He fumbled the ball inbounds, and the refs called it the other way. This would have deflated the Tigers early.
- Fournette's false start out of the Wild Tiger -- The refs clearly blew this call. The QB cannot tapdance his feet waiting for the snap, and neither can the RB lined up as QB. This would have nullified the only way LSU could have scored against the Gators in this part of the game.
I agree with Escambia on a lot of points but I want to submit the following:
To me, I think this Loss was a teach moment for all coaching staff and players involved. Coach Mac learned to watch everything (even Fake FG's), Treon learned that it is okay to let it fly a little bit; the Defense learned that RB's like the Chubb's, Dalvin Cook's and Fournette's of the world, require a team effort to stop. Our WR's learned, that they have to show up every saturday.
I think the Gators, are gonna use this loss, as a win, and come back swinging against UGA and the rest of our schedule.
