This one's at home now courtesy of LSU's somewhat ingracious refusal to budge when we were hurricane-hamstrung LAST year, you'll recall. We muttered darkly that this would bite 'em in the butt when it came around a year hence--and quietly HOPED we'd make that stick.
Well, here's our chance, a very REAL one, turns out: We are getting these Tigers when they are reeling, having potentially their worst season in a long time--and right on the edge of being dealt a knock-out punch delivered RIGHT HERE AND NOW: By our Gators, on Homecoming, no less.
We all know our problems, heightened by losing MORE players to injury this week. But we can beat this team. It will require our best and most complete full game effort start to finish, make no mistake, but played that way we CAN bury them, I think.
I'm NOT going into my usual fears and/or deep analysis in advance of the game itself this time. By now we all KNOW our pluses and minuses, and where I'm likely to stand on all of 'em. No, I'm just gonna let this turning-point in BOTH teams' season HAPPEN, try to be positive, say "EAT 'EM UP, GATORS!" and let it ride.
(One more thing though, btw:
Unfortunately, this and next weekend are when the Austin City Limits Fest is happening, it's a big deal in general in my town AND for me personally in what I do--meaning once AGAIN this season I'll be "somewhat distracted" on gameday...In fact, as has already happened a couple of times this season, I'm likely to be WORKING DURING GAME. I'll be "monitoring" during the game, will try to kick in with comments and reaction if/when I can--and you can BET I'll have things to say first chances I get later--but I must apologize for what is turning out to be a pattern of somewhat forced-absences during games here this season. Again, I'm sorry--but I know there are at least a few of y'all who, like me, like to vent here, and I'm figuring (counting) on YOU guys to jump in regardless, carry things just by being around to comment on the action, good or bad. Keep throwing it out there, brothers.)
I'll "jump in" myself as soon and as often as I can, and we'll talk in detail later.
Thanks, and of course, "GO GATORS!!!"

Okay, now is the time to put up or shut up. Are we a team that is at least starting to turn the corner and become good or are we pretenders. We'll find out today. LSU will be coming in to save their coach. They'll be some kind of amped up. Can we take on the challenge?

The Gators have to be more physical than the Bayou Tigers both sides of the ball. Also Franks needs to have a good game.

Agreed. The Gators have been pushed around in the trenches all season, which has hurt their ability to run and protect the QB. Sometimes I wish the Gators would hire an offensive line coach from an option offense just to get the Gators to get creative with blocking schemes that will disguise Florida's lack of size or talent.

Yea I remember someone telling me a win is a win but reality we have not play a winning game this year. We get lucky and bailed out and that won't happen forever. Its just a matter of time before we are truly exposed on how bad of a team we really are. Will it be today or when we play UG. Its just surprising the lack of development our players have and I look at Smart at UG who in his second year has UG rolling. How can we really be this bad with 2 full Mac recruiting classes. Very disappointing!

I just get a few moments here and there to watch little video on my phone and maybe make a comment now and then so I'm going to get this in right here n now: we will lose this one as we were due to sooner or later and we will be lucky to win another game from here.

Sad thing is well sure to get a QB change if the offense doesn't move the ball. This after three years in which Mac continued to go after college transfers at QB which have all been busts. Then your staff can't develop anyone and you juggle QBs and you give excuses about injuries, playing freshman. Many programs are going through the same thing but their backups perform. How about you look at your staff and the fact that our offense has zero improvements in three years.

I think we got hosed in this Mac hire!!!

It looks like there was no adjustment or plan in any of the intervening weeks... how can we expect there'll be one at the half?
Bottom line: Our coaching is really for shit.

So this one is lost--by early in 3rd qrtr!
Pathetic: Homecoming-- against a Tigers team that was more than vulnerable was on its Edge of spiraling down it's coach ready to be fired and comes in here and puts a hurting on us...who's got the bad coach after all???
