I dunno, i usually ALWAYS root for the SEC, but Bama has won the SEC and the Nat'l championship WAAAY too many times, and i think Colt McCoy deserves a ring.

If Colt McCoy deserves a ring, he will go earn it the way Alabama earned the SEC championship. He sure as hell did not earn the Big 12 championship, just as Florida did not earn the SEC championship. Bama has won too many national championships because they have found ways to not just recruit winning teams, but winning dynasties. Early this season, I thought we had a dynasty. I can only hope next year we can get back to our winning ways.

I think I'm pulling for Bama in this one. I just think Texas deserved to lose that game against Nebraska this weekened. They got so lucky that McCoy's boneheaded move to toss the ball up out of bounds didn't take an extra 0.00001 second off the clock.

Also, and I know this is going to sound blasphemous, I'm actually starting to like Nick Saban as a coach. The guy was nothing but class in every interview he gave leading up to the title game, and he was nothing but class after. I take back (most of) the bad things I've said about him in the past.

Agreed. I did not like Saban too much at LSU, but at Bama he has earned my respect. For the life of me I cannot remember why I did not like him at LSU. Maybe I was just younger and less wise then. Saban is also passing up Urban Meyer as best SEC coach. It's not blasphemous at all. Well, if it is, then we'll be in hell together.

Just out of curiosity, why can't you stand Bama or Saban? I never understood this statement from my fellow SEC fans.

The way I see it, if Texas wins, it just proves the Gator haters right--we were an over-ranked fraud and did not deserve the #1 ranking for the last 12 games of our 22-game streak. It also proves the SEC haters right that we play pansies and next year none of the SEC belongs on the same level as the slow-ass Big 12. If Alabama wins, we were beat by a better SEC foe, and all that hype about the SEC is validated. I'm going SEC all the way. As a matter of fact, Nick Saban has been nothing but classy since he took over for Alabama, as far as I can recall. He has brought to Alabama what I thought Urban Meyer was going to bring to Florida. How many DUIs does Alabama have? Eye gouges? Other legal troubles?

On Saturday, Florida did not deserve the SEC championship. This year, Florida did not have the discipline, hunger, and execution to be #1 the whole year--but we did it anyway based on our reputation from last year. Nick Saban might be evil in the eyes of fans, but I outright jealous that he can match and exceed our winning record without the extra off the field crap going on. I will always be a Florida fan, but I am starting to become a Nick Saban fan. I am not an Alabama fan, but I sure as heck hope they schwack Texas worse than they whipped us so that I can honestly say we played well and got beat by a better team from my beloved SEC.

Now, if it were f$u or scUM playing the Texas Longhorns, I'd be out buying my 10 gallon cowboy hat & Roy Rogers shirt today! I would much rather see those 2 lose every bowl game they play, and, hope they never win another bowl game!

But, SEC is another thing. I have some good Bama friends, but have also received a ton of hate stuff on my YouTube site from the GatorHaters/Bama no-class fans. Regardless, I will be pulling for Bama, a win by them will make us look better, and a win by Bama makes the SEC stronger.

Most of the Big 12 Conference is a joke, so how bad will it make the SEC look, should Bama lose to Texas? I think Bama rolls over Texas big, in fact a better match up with Texas might have been the Vols or the Dawgs!
