How good is Aaron Hernandez

With CI out, I would assume Aaron Hernandez will step into the starting role. He's a sophomore. He stands 6'3" and weighs 255 lbs. He caught 9 balls last year for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns.

What else can you tell me?

I don't really remember him on the field last year, but if he scored 2 touchdowns that's a good thing. I do wish he was a little bit bigger though.

He was the number 1 overall prospect coming out of high school.

The guy has some legitimate speed, and if I remember correctly he made some plays in the Kentucky game.

i remember watching him a bit last year and he was a solid tight end,i think he will do fine,but he's no cornelius ingram

He's a beast! I watched a high school highlight film of him and I was amazed. I couldn't find it again but i didn't look too hard.

He is a LOT bigger (in terms of weight) than C.I. has ever been. He is also faster and stronger than C.I. We will not miss a beat with Hernandez, and may actualy be a more potent offense. This kid can block, to boot. When I watched him play, he is amazing. He was second on the team in yards per catch last season, that's impressive. He seems to always bounce off defenders and carry them for lots of yac. Can't wait to see this kid become the best TE in the SEC (it happens this year).:gator:
