Looking for a little help in getting my son on the Gator's radar. He is 2010 and has received the initial letter from the Gator's. We are located in TX and he is ranked early on in the top 50 for the state by 2 different polls. We don't know Florida football that well it is one of the schools he is interested in. Any help would be appreciated.

Florida would be an excellent choice for any athlete. They have one of the best practice (and game-time) facilities in the country. They have the best coaches and staff. The school is amazing and you can assure your son will get an education here.

If your son gets offered a full ride to UF, tell him to take it in a heartbeat. Awesome school, with great football traditions. Nothing would beat the feeling of running out of the tunnel into a packed Swamp of 95,000 people.
Also, being at UF would provide a ton of TV exposure for your kid. A lot of gator games are televised and he will face top notch competition.

Have you considered trying to put together a really good highlight tape and then sending it out to UF and other schools you are trying to get visibility from?
Highlight videos are all the craze right now. It would probably be worth investing in a pretty decent video camera and recording every game of his season. Then get somebody pretty good with editing to put together a really good looking highlight tape. Then put it up on Youtube so fans who are interested in looking at what he plays like when they see their team is interested in him can go and get pumped about him. That will get some good talk on message boards about him.
Sending these videos around to schools could help I would think. Plus I'm sure it can't hurt with rankings on Scout and Rivals if there are good videos out there of him available since they would get to see more of him. They obviously can't make it around to most players' games so this would get him some visibility.
