Matt Patchan with a torn pec?????

There is a new rumor going around that Matt Patchan has a torn pectoral muscle and will miss half the season.

Obviously this is just a rumor and not confirmed, but its making its way around the boards right now.

I really hope this isn't true. Our defense was already our big question mark and to keep losing players from it is absolutely killing us.

He will either start at DE or DT according to Meyer. If he doesn't start he would at least play. I doubt this is true.

I don't believe that crap. Patchan's not going to start the season. Meyer's just talking him up like he does all his favorites.

It's not torn. It is however bruised which is much better. His arm is in a sling and will miss all of preseason practice. He may return in time for scUM or Tennessee. This info. comes from a team doctor.
