Mattison takes NFL job

I heard on the radio this morning on my drive into work that Coach Mattison has left the Gators to coach the defensive line (i think) for the Baltimore Ravens.

A source has told Sporting News that Florida co-defensive coordinator Greg Mattison has accepted a job as defensive line coach of the Baltimore Ravens.


Mattison joins the staff of first-year Baltimore coach John Harbaugh. Mattison has been at Florida since 2005.


Mattison also has served as defensive coordinator at Notre Dame and Michigan.

Sad to see him go I guess. Does this mean Charlie Strong is the full blown D-Coordinator?

I guessing that Strong will the full D-coordinator. Also why did the Ravens want Mattison? Did they see any of the Gator games?
