Moody was impressive!

It was great seeing Moody get a couple of carries. He led the team in rushing with 9 carries for 55 yards. He was running between the tackles and gaining some yards after first contact. I love his style of running and reminds me of Fred Taylor.

I think Meyer has been saving him for the SEC games. He is an absolute beast. He ran for speed and power. He ran like he had something to prove. I loved it.

As much as I was ready to bop Nat Moore one on "Breakfast With the Gators" on Sun Sports for being overcritical of Moody, putting him in there to get some real gametime minutes was the right thing to do. He can only "watch and learn" for so long; he needed to get out and show that he could make plays in this offense and did. The more comfortable he becomes with the spread offense, the more productive he'll be.

We lacked some real power at RB for a long time; now we have it back with Moody and Chris Rainey.

Key Player (Gators) – Emmanuel Moody, RB
Urban Meyer’s plan to reduce the hits on Tim Tebow has worked relatively well through three games and the emergence of Moody should help this offense even more. Moody showed flashes against Tennessee and should continue to take on a bigger role in this offense as the season progresses. Rushing production has been a big question mark for the Gators, especially since the last running back to top 1,000 yards in Gainesville was Ciatrick Fason in 2004.
