Lol sorry I have an extreme hatred towards Brantley and have not understood why he wasn't benched from the 3rd game of LAST year!!

Understandable. Brantley was in a tough tough position from the get go. Follow the probably the greatest college player of all time, to a system that didn't fit. Go ahead and add in all the hype that followed him around without proving much. Tough situation, hard not to feel bad to a degree. to each there own tho.

Sorry to say but until muschamp gets rid off some of these soft players Meyer recruited our play will not be what we want it to be. Powell is playing so soft it's sickening. Our running backs are to small for the type of defense. Wide outs look ok, couple of tough drops. All in all our team looks like kids amongst men.

Did you notice before the end of the second half when the sideline reported asked about Brantley's injury Muschamp was eager to defend Brantley's play so far "He played Great"... kind of like WM is in auto-mode any time he is asked about Brantley he automatically says JB has played great, we have to do a better job around him

I miss Tebow.
Please, God: Let there be one on our bench (as if the Lord gives a hoot about a football game--even when Tim's playing!).
Well, NO one expects us to come back NOW--an amazing succession of events. I was going to watch the beginning of the 2nd half (oh shut up--this announcer just won't let go of that "sure WAS a fumble for a touchdown" crap) if #12 got it in the endzone there, see if he could do the one thing he never has done, with it all riding on HIM--but fate is strange, and very unkind (or at least completely unsentimental).
Now it's time to see what Driskel can do. I suppose I HAVE to watch, at least for a while, but overall, this is a train wreck. You had to see it coming after the initial fireworks--Simple, really: we can't run on them, they CAN run on us. Once we started GIVING points away it was over.
Got to look at this in the most upbeat way we can, I guess: we're going to find our next quarterback FOR SURE now.
Driskel's first up, has the inside track if he can learn and grow and come along quickly. If not, FINE, "NEXT!"--better we find out NOW, this year, start bringing along the one that CAN get the job done. I wasn't sure how this was going to work, IF it would all work and fall into place in time for next season, but it sure looks like that scenario is now about to unfold.
Certain amount of excitement, interest and eventually hope and promise in THAT.
What do y'all think?

y'know, you're right--we became too much a "finesse" team under Meyer, I'm afraid--fast but injury-prone, for one thing (look at Demps, but not only him)...I HATE being a "finesse" team! But it's showing on the "D" side of the ball as well.
This much disparity on both directions DOOMS us in the biggest games...It was TEBOW who gave us our rugged, stick-it-to-'em image and power in that Spread.
We begin the real change NEXT season, as this staff brings in THEIR guys to run THEIR type of team.

Have to say, Brantley was getting it done, right up 'til his receivers let him down in the redzone there on that 2nd drive. Then he threw it away the next time he dropped back. Then he seemed about to rally, pull it back together and make it at least a game with his arm--and everything caved in on him.

This is getting UGLY--roughing personal fouls at BOTH ends, and BOTH guys lying on the field.
