Gators look efficient but not explosive in one half of football.

Gators need to build a lead if they want to play some backups. On the bright side the Gators get RG Mazzcua and RT George to protect Mertz on the strong side.

This has turned into OUR "failure to impress".
Had we just converted ONE of those "settled for 3s" into a touchdown it would feel different, I guess. Even if we come out and dominate once more, this has been somewhat of a "slap in the face", "splash cold water".
Still, Napier AND Armstrong have some real work to do in the lockerroom right now.
I really gotta see Coach properly adapt, realize he needs his offense to show (show THEMSELVES) that they can strike quickly for TOUCHDOWNS.
"It ain't the players it's the PLAYS!"

Memo to our Coach:
Scoring TOUCHDOWNS, rather than "ball control", is what gets it done in the college game.
Moreover, as someone who talks A LOT about appreciating "Florida TRADITION", striking for long touchdowns is one that stands above all the rest: DON'T F*CK AROUND. Add it to "our repertoire"...Or do you not believe Mertz HAS it in HIS?

Charlotte is not that bad. They are FBS non-P5 unlike McNeese. They were up 14-9 at the half on Maryland who is 4-0, before Maryland dropped 29 points in a row to win by 18.

Now we need a turnover from our D.
Need it BAD.

So no harm done...we get it back right about where we lost it before.
Still worth going long now.

Again: I am beginning to get really worried about our lack of "quick strike". It's getting to a point where teams, even inferior teams, can pretty well ignore that part of our game.
We need to show it HERE--just for the sake of telling future opponents to at least have to consider its possibility.
With the speed we have, I do not understand why we haven't hardly TRIED.

3rd down AGAIN. POOR PLAY CALLING.
I blame Billy. ANOTHER fieldgoal.
This is now officially "a problem with our Coach".
I mean it. I like snd support Billy Napier--but he is screwing up this gameplan.
SCREWiNG UP THIS TEAM--at least its offensive scheme. All these drives and only one TD.
I HATE it. You have the tools:
YA GOTTA SCORE IN THE REDZONE!

Defense starting to tire now.
I don't like it. We have squandered a decent effort by the offense AND defense tonight--and it has been on BILLY...Sorry: He has made too many questionable decisions here.

I knew he was over the line--but he COULD have RUN for it.
Whew--only THEIR mistakes have saved us here tonight.

We have caught any breaks on our side either;
we partially block their punt but STILL end up having it roll dead deep in our end.

Nice run play--but you can ALSO get those kind of yards--and MORE--with long PASSES.
