Florida senior pitcher Stacey Stevens (Gainesville, Fla.) set the school career strikeouts record on the way to helping the Gators (16-5) to a 9-1 win in the second game of a doubleheader sweep of Eastern Michigan Monday night. Florida also won the first game, 4-0.
Stevens started the second game to also set the career starts record with the 106th start of her career. She set the strikeouts record in the fourth inning, as she sat down Eastern Michigan pinch hitter Jessica Patterson.
