Tennessee or Kentucky

Who would you rather beat in our remaining two games? A win over Tennessee will help our RPI, but a win over UK on their senior day would be soooo sweet.

You have to think beyond this year. There's history at stake.
A win over UK makes it 8 in a row, which would be the longest streak that any school has ever defeated the UK men's basketball team. Currently the Gators are in a tie with a couple other teams with 7 in a row.

A win over Tennessee means nothing beyond this year.

While that does make sense, I think a win over Tenn puts us closer to being in the tourney then a win over Kentucky. Getting into the tourney is more important and getting these young guys some tourney experience is more important then that win streak in my opinion. I would rather keep our streak of years in the NCAA tourney alive then our win streak over Kentucky. But I would prefer both if possible.

A win over Tennessee and a win or two in the SEC tournament and we probably get in the big tournament. Beating only Kentucky and a win or two probably does not get us in the tournament.

While I love the idea of keeping a streak alive against Kentucky, I am more concerned with making the tournament. That priority may not matter with our young team this year.
