This is a game that Florida can win

"For the first time in 40 games, the 7th-rankedFlorida Gators (4-0, 2-0 SEC East) will be underdogs Saturday when they travel to Tuscaloosa to face #1-ranked Alabama (4-0, 1-0 SEC West) in prime time (8 p.m., Bryant-Denny Stadium, CBS). Alabama has been established as an 8-point favorite and nearly every so-called “expert” is taking the Crimson Tide, which last lost to Florida in the 2008 SEC Championship Game. The Gators can win this game, however, but there is very little room for error. Bama is that good and the Crimson Tide will have the bulk of the 101,000 crowd on its side. Here are 10 keys to a Florida victory."

This might be where Urban Meyer's renewed craftiness comes into play. We definitely have a chance to win--this is a rivalry between two top-tier teams. The question about Urban Meyer is whether or not he played possum with everyone so neither the Tide nor the Gator Nation would know what to expect before the game? Or, is the Gator Nation basing its renewed faith on the Kentucky game?

Don't get me wrong. I want us to win. I think we can win. I don't want to lose to Alabama, but then again I want to demolish Alabama in Atlanta while they hold a #1 ranking. Then again, if Alabama loses, I have to hear more crap about Boise State and Florida would never have a chance to jump into the top five without everyone else losing. In the end, we have the advantage of a do-over against Alabama win or lose, so to speak, due to the high probability of us meeting them in Atlanta. If we beat Bama, I hope we can do so with minimal injuries and without exposing page three of the playbook that we just found.

Nobody can tell me that these kids won't be out for blood on Saturday night to avenge last year's loss. The last time we were beaten bad in 2005, we came back to beat them in our own house the following year.

alot of em didnt play tho lol

but i hope now that their gators even the freshmen feel that way after watching those SECCG tapes from last especially the D

i hope to good rotation on the d-line thats gonna be key too, let the freshmen like floyd, powell, & easely do some work

i know floyd will but the rest too

and we need to come out passing deep first play that would totally throw a team off gaurd even saban's D which his decondary isnt that great do to it being young and enexperienced

In that year, we matched up better. This year Alabama has a slight size advantage, a tandem running back threat, and a deceptively talented set of receivers.

Agreed. This is not about revenge. Few on this team were around for last year's beatdown. This is about SEC supremacy with two very closely matched teams and two rock star coaches.

For those who were, there is a need to avenge that loss. For the younger ones who weren't, this is a chance to show Gator Nation that they really have the right stuff. I want to see HEART AND PASSION out there tomorrow night - that was the biggest thing missing from our team in the SECCG last year.

Agreed. The sideline looked like a weekly practice session. No game time emotion, nothing. I was yelling furiously at the tv screen.
