First of all, this year's QB-"crop" is actually lean in terms of deserving 1st-rounders; all kinds of value in the subsequent rounds, though. Second, Elway looks like a walking demonstration of the idea that just 'cause you played the position doesn't mean you can coach it, or even judge the relative worth of newer guy coming along--too much personal baggage can cloud the issues.
What looked like the right situation for TT (with a young coach of vision and tenacity walking his own road, who believed in #15) has drastically changed. We can only hope that if this new regime doesn't value him and won't give him even a chance at developing and proving himself, circumstances will unfold in such a way that Tim can at least eventually land somewhere else that will.
He WILL work hard, continue to learn, grow and improve himself, and some day be ready, if and when he's called upon to take the field and lead his team, however that comes about. WE know this about him, even if folks like Elway (latest in a long line of naysayers) have forgotten both the general value of that level of commitment, and Tebow's very real on-field talent AND will-to-win.
