OGT 2024: Week 12 Florida Gators vs #15 LSU Tigers

Maybe Napier is turning things around. The Gators had dropped eight in a row against ranked opponents and were 1-10 under coach Billy Napier in rivalry games. Imagine how much better this team would be with a real offensive coordinator.

Great win, now they need to win one more game.
Why stop there?
Let's WIN OUT!
(I'm sort of making a joke--but then again, not really...)
Surprise. A win is a win.

In the above plethora of strange imbalances (most importantly of course time-of-possession versus final score!), do we begin to see the new formulaic pattern for future Gator success?

I admit to a similar guarded germ of a thought forming regarding your first sentence above, admittedly almost in SPITE of myself...
However, not enough to suddenly abandon the idea that a "REAL offensive coordinator" is still an ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT on the path to that "Return of UF" to the CFB elite.
But last night's performance and ultimate victory DID begin to show the way--AND that such a return indeed was possibly just that potentially close to being realized?

I'm in favor of it. We hope Ole Miss chokes and FSU plays like they have.

Look, it IS fully-in-focus now--from here forward there can be little ultimate confusion:
No matter what, whether (out of dawning wisdom or as a condition of further time here) he brings in an actively involved "GM/OC" or NOT, Billy either indeed presides over a fully rejuvenated Gator program in 2025 or he is GONE by the end of it.
We might dicker over exactly what would define that "full rejuvenation" (9 wins? Double digit? Some OTHER set of observed improvements?), but most of us can and will confidently claim,
"I'll know it when I SEE it!"
And that's just as true about what we just CANNOT ACCEPT ANY LONGER.
Similarly, it is quite amazing how generally was Gator Nation's uniform relief, happiness and suddenly coalescing spirit of SUPPORT in the immediate aftermath of this latest win--not "unconditional", by any means, but somewhat "let bygones be BYGONES" IF some satisfactory realization of the above-noted "acceptable outcomes" were to be achieved.
And so, once again we ultimately return to our basic underlying state-of-being:
GO GATORS!
WON'T BACK DOWN!
ORANGE AND BLUE!!!
(Let's at least FINISH this thing right...)
