Damn, what a nice guy. Not too many athletes nowadays who will put other people before themselves. Good to see that there is still faith in humanity.

Nike unveils new Tebow shoe

"Already with a top selling jersey and the cover of a video game, Tim Tebow is one of the NFL's most marketable players despite not yet taking a snap for the Denver Broncos.

Now, thanks to EA Sports and Nike, fans of the former Florida quarterback can literally walk a mile in his shoes with the EA Sports x Nike Trainer 1.2 Tim Tebow NCAA Football 11 Player Editions that were unveiled this week to coincide with Tebow's appearance on the cover of the popular NCAA Football 11."

Josh McDaniels plans to make use of Tim Tebow's "unique skills"

"Broncos coach Josh McDaniels has been adamant since the team drafted Tim Tebow that the former Florida star is in Denver to play quarterback, not to change to another position. But Tebow is coming into the league as an excellent runner who struggles with his throwing mechanics, and McDaniels acknowledges that he may look to get Tebow on the field and use him differently than he uses starter Kyle Orton.

"Tim's got some unique skills and there's certainly no boundary on what we may try to do with any of our skill players, and Tim may allow us to do some things a little differently," McDaniels told Will Brinson of CBS Sports."

Tim Tebow signs endorsement deal with Jockey

"Former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow, now of the Denver Broncos, has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Jockey, the company announced Tuesday.

Tebow has agreed to serve as a Jockey spokesperson and the face of the brand beginning in July 2010. It is the third major endorsement deal his agent, Jimmy Sexton, has helped his client sign, following agreements with EA Sports and Nike."

Tebow creates Bronco buzz

"The Denver Broncos don't want to put rookie quarterback Tim Tebow on a pedestal, but Denver's sudden surge in relevancy can be traced back to picking Tebow in the first round. Training camp begins for the Broncos this coming week, the first full-squad public practices Aug. 1, and it seems everyone wants to see Tebow.

The former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback out of Florida led the NFL in jersey sales from the beginning of April to the end of June, even though he wasn't drafted until the end of April. No other rookie was in the top seven."

Broncos, QB Tim Tebow nearing agreement

"Multiple reports coming out of Colorado on Wednesday have the Denver Broncos and former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow nearing an agreement on a five-year rookie contract.

Tebow’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, is apparently asking that his client, the No. 25 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, receive more money than wide receiver Dez Bryant (selected 24th by Dallas) – a customary request, especially for first-round signal callers.

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Sexton insists Tebow receive a larger deal including higher base salaries and a more substantial signing bonus because of his position.

ESPN, The Denver Post and NFL Network all confirm that the two sides are “feverishly” working toward an agreement and that the deal is “close” to being completed. Negotiations intensified Tuesday evening and continued throughout the day Wednesday; a resolution is expected within 24-48 hours."

I hope Tim can sign his deal before July 31 when the veterans report to camp. Getting more money than the player above you is always tricky, but I think Crabtree did it last year.

I think 2-bits is some sort of psychic.

And I read that in the 5 years he could earn up to $33 mil. but he is likely to make around $11 mil.

I think the extra cash depends on one statistic--CFHR, Clipboard to Football Handling Ratio.

Contract signed, Tim Tebow works out with Denver Broncos on eve of training camp

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — "Tim Tebow is working out with the Denver Broncos for the first time since signing his contract.

The two-time national champion from Florida and first-round draft pick got in an hour's worth of field work with other rookies before the veterans report Saturday. The first full-squad workout is Sunday.

Tebow signed a five-year deal Thursday worth US$11.25 million with $8.7 million of that guaranteed. He could earn up to $33 million over the life of the contract if he ascends to the top of the quarterback chart."

Tim Tebow’s first day as a pro was…uneventful

"Agreeing to a five-year, $11.25 million rookie contract with the Denver Broncos on Thursday, former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow spent his first day as a professional by taking a physical, engaging in conditioning drills, sitting in meetings and speaking with reporters at the team’s Dove Valley facility on Friday – all of which he passed with flying colors.

According to The Denver Post, Tebow’s day went as follows: In the morning, he took a conditioning test that consisted of three 300-yard timed shuttle runs before joining meetings with other rookies and injured veterans. At 11 a.m., Tebow practiced for an hour, working on footwork and going through reads, before being dismissed until Sunday. However, he stayed at Dove Valley to go over what he missed from the playbook installations on Wednesday and Thursday."

Tebow draws crowd at camp

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — "No insubordination. No contract consternation. No split locker room.

No more bad karma — just a bit of bad luck.

The Denver Broncos kicked off training camp without the negativity that enveloped them a year ago, when their two first-round draft picks were holdouts and the man wearing No. 15 was recalcitrant receiver Brandon Marshall.

With Marshall in Miami, rookie quarterback , and former Gator, Tim Tebow is donning that number now, and his presence was a big reason the Broncos drew 3,103 fans to the start of training camp, a record for the first day at Dove Valley."
